On 2 February 2025, the 52nd Saturn Awards named From the winner of Best Horror Television Series. The Saturns are presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films and honour genre film and television.
From is a horror drama about a small American town that traps everyone who arrives. Residents survive by hiding indoors at night, when monstrous creatures emerge from the surrounding forest. The series began in 2022 and is produced by MGM+, with Harold Perrineau among its leading cast.
The award mattered because From had grown mostly through word of mouth rather than big marketing. A genre-specific prize from a respected fan-and-industry body gave the show fresh visibility and credibility, and it reinforced the loyalty of a dedicated audience that had been following its slow-burning mysteries. The recognition helped set up the wider attention the series later received when it reached a larger streaming audience.
